MyQuire and Redemption - Just Causes
By Phil Butler on Dec 10, 2007 in Featured, education
My friends over at MyQuire just notified me that they have announced their 2007 winner of the Rapid Grant initiative they started. This $5,000 grant is to be awarded to Redemption - a non-profit organization that increases educational advancement possibilities for under-served youths between 13 and 19. The Brooklyn, New York organization headed by tiffany Tucker used MyQuire to organize some key elements of their mission. I am always happy to see such great people collaborate for the good of others and the people at MyQuire are some of the best.
I reviewed MyQuire back in September for Profy and was very impressed with this DEMOFall wonder - with the service and more importantly with the people behind the machinery there. David Steinberg - CEO of MyQuire is a bright and compelling young entrepreneur who’s heart is obviously in the right place.
As I said in the Profy review: “Essentially, MyQuire is a streamlined - no fat version of Web Office.” The innovation is designed to be the collaboration tool of the future in its simplicity and lightweight function. MyQuire is a fantastic organization tool and we can look forward very soon to a new release that will be even more compelling.
Redemption
What a sublime name for a great effort! Redemption is a community based non-profit that serves the disadvantaged of Brooklyn via educational advancement via community involvement and empowerment. Tiffany Tucker founded Redemption, delaying law school in order to address the needs of others. It is so amazing how great sacrificing people and excellent innovators connect here on the Web.
The power of collaboration in these types of endeavors really outshines all other aspects of the “new Web” for me. Education really is the pathway to relieving so many of the world’s problems - from the individual to the collective level.
Three Cheers
I just wanted to take this opportunity to applaud David, Michael Dawson (VP of Business Development), all the members of the MyQuire team and of course Redemption for doing more than their part to help others achieve. This is great news. Thanks for the heads up Michael and we look forward to the coming additions to your great services.
