The Power of Powerless

Unplugged you say? This term is generally reserved for musical performances without electronic accompaniment or connected to a power source. After a little over a year of being absolutely “plugged-in” to a variety of sources of power, I thought it was about time to disconnect. The blog world and what we call Web 2.0 has been about niches, startups, money, collaborations and to a great extent - hype. This is what being “aside” from the tech blogs and celebrities of the web will allow for – a cleaner look at our digital world.

This blog will not focus on any one venue or sector of the Internet, but instead on what should be the most important topics confronting us – and too – those that inspire or interest us. So, here at the advent of a new adventure in blogging let me welcome the best of the Web – the people. Being unplugged, perhaps we can all stand back and more closely scrutinize the events that surround and define –at least to an extent – our time here.

The task here is to inform, introduce, and also to appeal to that missing splinter of reality all of us retain after absorbing the web. We will essentially act on the right to applaud when appropriate and call BS too where appropriate. Unplugged from convention, but with great friendships and collaborations in tact, we can reveal great new things and perhaps make a little better world – not entirely designed by celebrity or power.
